This trifecta was inspired by Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds (1978), which gripped me upon my first listen a year ago. The album, based on the hit science fiction novel by H.G. Wells, narrates the story of an unnamed journalist as he travels through England in search of his fiancee, back-dropped by the destruction of the Martian invasion of Earth.

The three artworks represent the beginning, middle, and end of the story: The first Martian projectile as it reaches Earth, followed by the Tripods wreaking havoc in London, and finally, the defeat of the Martians.
